MANUAL OF INTERNAL OPERATING PROCEDURES
- MIOPs govern internal Court procedures and are therefore not intended to replace or supplement the rules of Court, or practice directions. For that reason MIOPs should not be cited in submissions to the Court in order to avoid governing statutes, rules or practice directions. To the extent that it may be relevant the Court will hold practitioners and parties to account for non- compliance with the MIOPs as they are intended for the convenience of the Court.
- Practitioners must acquaint themselves with the MIOPs and should observe them at all times. The registrar is required to see to it that all staff of the Court have a copy of the MIOPs and comply with the procedures set out therein. The registrar must also make a reasonable number of the MIOPs available to the Law Society of Namibia.
